Formed from the merger of Edgbaston College for Girls and the predominantly boys Edgbaston College, both of which had enjoyed over 100 years of education in their own right. The school is situated opposite St. George'sChurchon the Calthorpe Estateand is surrounded by spacious grounds, combining a rural atmosphere with convenience and proximity to Birmingham city centre. The Upper School occupies the original Georgian buildings, whichhavebeen substantially modernised, and, over the years, new buildings have been erected to meetexpanding needs and developments in eduxcation. Recently a new drama studio has been created, the art and 6th formfaciltiies have been modernised and the library area has been extended. Parents are warmly welcomed into the life of the school, and we enjoy the support of our flourishing parent group,The Parent Teacher Association, who organise fund-raising and social events.
