Lucton Prep School is a warm and friendly place where children are nurtured and supported by well-trained staff. The Prep School is located in the William Hall building within the Lucton School site. In the Prep School there are currently six classes and each yeargroup has their own individual classroom. The Prep School has its own ICT suite, a large art area, Hall, Library and drama room. Outside there is an enclosed playground, garden, large sports field and adventure playground. The Prep School also makes great use of the school's own indoor swimming pool.Learning is progressive and each pupil follows a learning programme that matches their needs. The structure of the curriculum is designed to stimulate and support the developing child and is enhanced with sport, drama, gardening and Forest School all being integrated into the weekly timetable.As the children move up the Prep School, they develop increasingly clear thinking and show independence in following through with activities and responsibilities. Specialist teachers are introduced in Music, Drama, Sport, ICT, RE and French to further enhance each child's subject knowledge and experience and guarantee continuity and progression between the Prep, Middle and Senior Schools. The close home-school partnership is a strength throughout the School and as a parent you are always welcome in school, with daily access to the teachers.
