Providing an introduction to garden design at a professional level, this popular course and has been written for those who wish to pursue a career in garden design. What qualifications will I need? Minimum age 18 years. An interview with the course tutor prior to the course is advised. Knowledge of plants is an advantage. Tetanus protection is recommended. What will I be learning about? The course covers six units over one year: Design principles Surveying and site analysis Draughting and graphics Soft landscaping Hard landscaping Business and contract management What is involved? A mixture of theory, practice and real'life design projects. Where will it take me? Successful completion of the course will enable students to start a design practice or seek employment within the garden design industry. What materials are required?
