Course Description

Suitable for: qualified occupational therapists or physiotherapists who have at least two years? clinical experience, which should include some work in the field of neurorehabilitation. Offers knowledge and expertise: to increase students? practical and theoretical knowledge of neurorehabilitation and develop their evaluative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These skills will serve to enhance the professions as a whole and improve client care. Course Description: Students complete the generic module Research Methods in Health and Social Care: They have to complete a minimum of 50 credits from three core modules and up to 40 credits from optional modules. Students who proceed to successful completion of a research project and subsequent dissertation will be eligible for the award of a Master of Science degree. Additional entry requirements: Students wishing to study the core module on Applied Practice must be working for a minimum of 16 hours in the field of neurorehabilitation and have HPC registration. Applicants should also show evidence of personal development, which will be assessed by a study of the applicant?s curriculum vitae, including post-registration courses attended and career development. Special features of this course: ? Additional free-standing genericshared modules are available to complement the core modules.
