Course Description

Full-time Begins: September Distance Learning Begins: September, January & May This course provides engineers from varied disciplines with the essential knowledge and skills background required for an engineering career within the upstream Oil and Gas Industry, by building on scientific and mathematical skills obtained from their first degree. A strong grounding in project engineering and management is one essential outcome of this study programme. Aims of the Course The course has been developed in close collaboration with industry to enable you to develop a critical approach to upstream oil and gas engineering. In additional you will gain a broad and sound understanding of the scientific, engineering and management aspects relating to selected key areas of oil and gas management. You will acquire and utilise skills in integrating knowledge drawn from different subject areas and learn innovative thinking, which can be applied to the discipline of oil and gas engineering. Finally you will develop initiative, creativity, inter-personal skills and a high level of independent critical judgment. Accreditation This course has full Energy Institute accreditation. Learning Mode The MSc Oil & Gas Engineering course is available full-time, part-time or online. Module Structure The full MSc course consists of 8 modules and a Project as shown below.
