Course Description
This MSc is a well-respected vocational course that trains graduates to become professional ecologists. Teaching covers the full range of practical ecological skills including surveying, protected species monitoring, habitat creation and restoration, environmental impact assessment and project management. This course is designed to produce graduates with just the right mix of specialist knowledge, field skills and business training to make them immediately attractive to employers. Demand for our MSc graduates is high: past students have found jobs with British Waterways, the Environment Agency, Natural England, Scottish National Heritage, and the Wildlife Trusts, as well as with a wide variety of British and overseas NGO, local government, and private sector organisations. Please see our website for further programme information. Entry requirements: A good Honours degree in a biological, environmental or geographical subject. Other qualifications with a strong ecological content will also be considered. Candidates with applied field experience are particularly welcome.
