Postgraduate Certificate , Clinical Psychology

Course Description

Clinical psychology looks at why mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders - and even physical health problems - develop and how they can be treated. About 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime. If we can understand the issues better, we can make a difference to people s lives. Our course will not only give you thorough knowledge and understanding of practical and theoretical issues in mental health and clinical psychology - including assessment, formulation, diagnosis and approaches to treatment - but also teach you the skills to apply scientific research methods. Studying at our Cambridge campus, an invaluable place to make contacts, you ll learn from our research-active staff and enjoy guest lectures from clinical psychology professionals. You ll also benefit from our Lived Experience Project, which sees individuals who have real-life experience of mental health difficulties discussing their personal stories and working with our students.
