Course Description

Please note, re-accreditation is pending from the Division of Forensic Psychology, British Psychological Society. Designed for psychology graduates. Must have minimum 2.1 degree or another postgraduate qualification. Minimum one year's clinical or forensic experience by time of entry to programme, and ideally at time of application. The programme will help students develop clinical forensic skills specific to the assessment and treatment of persons in forensic settings, in particular those with mental disorders who engage in antisocial andor criminal behaviour. These high-level skills will prepare you to work with diverse populations in institutional and community settings. In addition, you will gain critical awareness of new insights and current research at the forefront of forensic psychology. You also will spend two days a week on clinical or forensic placement throughout the year. Students must have worked in one of the above Trusts for at least one year.
