Course Description

The Anglo European Chiropractic College (AECC), an Associate College of Bournemouth University, offers a diverse and innovative range of high quality MSc courses to many different healthcare professionals. The primary goal of the BScMSc Chiropractic course is to prepare you to act as skilled and safe chiropractic clinicians who are able to function competently within the primary care setting and the wider health care community. The rationale and underpinning for the undergraduate part of the course is to provide an innovative, integrated and case-based student-centered approach to learning that encourages the acquisition and amalgamation of knowledge. At Bachelors level you will have gained a firm grounding in musculoskeletal function and relevant informing sciences and will have a detailed understanding of the pertinent clinical diagnostic procedures and management of relevant conditions. At this point you will have obtained the learning skills to undertake further studies with autonomy. The postgraduate part of the programme will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and understanding, and problem solving abilities within clinical settings and broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to the practice of chiropractic. It is felt that an expansion of the clinical experience is desirable for students to better handle clinical complexity and to formulate judgments relating to patient management and within the context of limited or incomplete information and a changing healthcare environment.
