Course Description
This is a theoretical course in which you are able to develop and apply knowledge and skills to your own area of practice. You will not be doing hands-on clinical work as part of this course. You are expected to get clinical experience at your place of work and the knowledge and skills you develop through this course will complement this. It provides a strong emphasis on understanding the rationale behind patient management. Innovation, leadership, ethical practice and creativity will be fostered in order to enable you to evaluate and influence practice, to improve service delivery and effect change. In addition, it critically evaluates the relationship between evidence-based medicine and professional development necessary for lifelong learning. Critical enquiry will be built on inter-professional learning platforms to allow you to actively contribute to the emerging body of underpinning evidence within professional practice.
