Course Description

University of Cambridge Department of Public Health and Primary Care One-year MPhil (Master of Philosophy) in Epidemiology Course We are seeking applications from eligible students (the MRC operates eligibility criteria) with, or anticipating, a first degree (2:1 or higher) and who wish to undertake a one-year MPhil in Epidemiology. This Master's degree provides formal training in epidemiology. It comprises a taught component followed by a research project. Applications from students who wish to continue to a PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health or Biostatistics are particularly welcome. The Department's research programmes focus on major chronic diseases including coronary heart disease, cancer, dementia, diabetes, neuropsychiatric disorders and obesity. Five MRC-funded Studentships are available. There are also opportunities to apply for other studentships and bursaries.
