Course Description
Enables students to: develop relevant abilities, knowledge, skills, thinking and understanding required at the RIBAARB Part 2 level develop strategies for continued learning and development for future role as architects explore and further define the programme?s and their own ethos. Our work is grounded in a respect for people, place and the craft of building and tests this work in the public domain through live projects in the design studio. The programme structure is built around the design studio and core studies in conservationsustainability, critical theoryurbanism and professional studies. The core studies are delivered in stage 1, leaving a more flexible timetable in stage 2, enabling students to synthesise their development in the design studio and a selected area of individual study. The programme is fully validated by RIBA (through 2012), and prescribed by ARB, and is a continuation of the fully accredited BA (Hons) (Part 1) course. A fully validated and prescribed Part 3 programme (CAPP) is also delivered.
