Successful completion of this MA professionally qualifies you as a social worker. Independent studies place us among the UK?s top five departments for social work teaching. You?ll develop an understanding of influences on national social policy, and emerging policies addressing global social issues in health, poverty, social protection, crime and education. Course content This programme is based around four core 30-credit modules: Law and Policy Knowledge, Skills and Values 1 Knowledge, Skills and Values 2 Professional Development and a 60-credit dissertation. You?ll also undertake two 100-day placements with local agencies (local authority, private, voluntary or independent sector service providers).
