Course Description
Overview The aim of this postgraduate course is to provide an appropriate range and depth of theoretical and professional knowledge to enable students to understand the key issues and challenges within the music industries. Students will be asked to create challenging and professional simulations of music industry environments, especially interactive and online media. They will also have to evaluate existing academic knowledge in the subject, examine professional practice and critically appraise their own scholarly work. All this combines so that they become reflective music industry professionals, committed to continuing professional practice within developing economies. Key Facts The PgCertPgDipMA Music Industries is part of a wider suite of postgraduate programmes within the Birmingham School of Media.
