Course Description
Illustration visually informs, illuminates, explains, decorates, stimulates and educates. There are no practical processes or skills exclusive to illustration rather it is intention and motive in picture making, which are the disctinctive features of the subject. This programme is aimed at illustrators and artists who wish to engage with research rather than diagnosis, and are looking to apply skill rather than acquire it. The programme enables the student to create and make distinctive, illustrative artefacts, which reflect full commitment to the investigation of pictorial, authorial and narrative content, and which demonstrate a personal visual signature and individual graphic language.
