Course Description

A one-year professional practice course in which you will develop skills in journalism and digital media production and learn about sports communications in a global context.

Our master's degree in International Sports Journalism is distinctive in a number of respects; it's the world’s first International Sports Journalism master's degree that explores sport and communications in its international context.

The emphasis we place on globalisation in different regions and countries and the internationalisation of sports communications provides our students with a unique learning experience and will give them a head start in a demanding digital world.

We offer some of the best work experience opportunities in sports communications and boast one of the best teams of academics, sports journalists and communications professionals in the UK.

Underpinned by the academic theory of communications, we aim to develop graduates with critical awareness and practical journalism skills. The course is two thirds practical and one third theoretical. We collaborate with the sports communications industry on a regular basis to keep our curriculum and research up to date.
