We aim to equip trainees with the knowledge and skills they need to become effective practitioners. Our guiding principles are the integration of theory with practice, the encouragement of a capacity for independent thinking and reflection, and the fostering of trainees' personal and professional skills. For the first time, UCL is providing an exciting opportunity for international applicants to participate in a state of the art training in clinical psychology. Successful applicants will join the Course in September 2011. International applicants are likely to be those hoping to return home to develop clinical psychology services after following a British clinical psychology training programme. Such training opportunities are absent in many countries within the developing world, and candidates from these countries are particularly welcome to apply. International applicants to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Course will be subject to the same rigorous selection procedures as are current applicants from the UK and EEA. This will ensure maintenance of the standards of excellence for which clinical psychology trainees at UCL are renowned.
