Course Description

The School offers a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, the majority of which is delivered at a training programme base. Students are employed in the NHS and undertake a number of clinical placements and a substantive research project. These placements are supervised by Clinical Psychologists working in Health and Social Care settings across West, South and Mid Wales. Students are also required to undertake clinically relevant research and submit a substantive research project. Candidates must be eligible for Graduate Basis for Registration with the Chartered Membership of British Psychological Society, and must be current citizens of either an EU member state or a member state of the EU Economic Area. An upper second class UK Honours degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, or a lower second class degree with strong evidence of additional academic achievement is essential. Relevant clinical andor clinical research experience is also an essential requirement.
