Course Description

Aims of the course The MSc in Corporate Treasury seeks to provide a comprehensive insight into the theoretical financial aspects of corporate treasury with the aim of developing participants with practical and strategic insight into treasury and risk management. Entry requirements Normally an upper second-class Honours degree in economics, finance or accounting. Those with relevant professional qualifications or extensive professional experience will also be considered. Course structure You will take four core modules, two optional modules and a dissertation of around 20,000 words. Core modules: * Corporate Financial Planning * Corporate Treasury Management * Liquidity and Funding * Research Methods Optional modules: * Strategic Aspects of Risk Management * Capital Structure and Funding * Financial Derivatives * Structured Products * Risk Hedging and Financial Instruments Assessment You are assessed by course work and examinations using case studies and treasury cases, plus a final dissertation. Career opportunities Successful completion of this course should enable holders of the degree to work in a wide range of treasury positions in both the banking, consultancy and in corporate treasury departments. The programme is also excellent preparation for further research or study.
