The programme is aimed at: ? practising musicians: systematically explore ways in which cutting-edge computing technology may enhance your practice ? music graduates, musicologists and music educators pursue a research project involving computing technologies, while enhancing your career with a postgraduate qualification ? music technologists, sound engineers and software developers: gain a better understanding of the needs of musicians and the music industry ? other graduates with proven knowledge of music: explore ways to combine your background and passion for music MRes Computer Music is delivered within the context of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research (ICCMR), underpinning the programme with research activity of international significance. Programme content The programme comprises three modules: ? Advanced topics in computer music research: exposes trends in computer music practices allowing you to gainhone theoretical and technical skills through a negotiated project ? Research in the arts and humanities: focuses on approaches to develop research projects, including interdisciplinary approaches ? Masters thesis: your chance to develop a major research projectthesis. This may be accompanied by a technological development or a portfolio of compositions
