The Chemistry with Scientific Writing MSc utilises the very best teaching and research from the Department of Chemistry (graded 5A)and the vast experience of the Warwick Writing Programme from the Department of English (graded 5*) to create a new MSc. Communicating science can range from explaining the structure of leaf to a seven year old to reporting the very lastest research to the world via scientific journals. Both rely not only on subject knowledge but also the ability to effectively communicate often complex scientific theories to others, who quite often, possess limited knowledge regarding your subject. This MSc programme offers you the prospect to gain new scientific writing skills through the three core modules teaching the use and application of scientific English. Whilst improving your use of English in the scientific environment you'll be able to obtain advancedscientific training with various science modules on offer from the Department of Chemistry MSc programmes. The course is designed to improve your scientific English skills (and English Language skills in general) and allow you to get involved in rigourous scientific investigation. The course aims to give you: Greatly increased English Language skills and their application to communicating science. Advanced training and teaching in a wide range of chemistry-based topics. Research experience through a research-based project based in one of Warwick's first class research groups,answering a real question or addressing a current problem using state-of-the-art equipment.
