Course Description
With its strong team of tutors and industry contacts, this part-time Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accredited course can help you progress to senior marketing roles in a wide variety of industries.
This course will develop your knowledge and skills across key areas, including strategic marketing, metrics, digital strategies and innovation. This diploma is designed for the professional marketer working in an operational, supervisory or management role.
We'll support you in your studies and offer an enriching educational experience. You will receive high-quality teaching, exam preparation and assessment practice.
Principal Lecturer Ray Donnelly brings his experience from senior marketing positions in multinational banks and the civil service to the course.
We have successfully delivered CIM qualifications for over 25 years and have ties to global banks, law firms and a number of creative enterprises.
Course Content
You are required to complete three of the four modules:
1. Strategic Marketing (core)
2. Mastering Metrics (core)
3. Driving Innovation (core)
4. Digital Strategy (optional)
You are exempt from the Strategic Marketing module on the new syllabus if you have previously completed Marketing Planning Process and Managing Marketing after 2008 as part of the previous diploma.
Entry Requirements
You should have at least one of the following:
- CIM Level 4 Professional Certificate in Marketing
- relevant Level 4 qualification
- foundation degree in business with marketing
- bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognised university, with at least one third of your credits coming from marketing content (ie 120 credits in a bachelor's degree or 60 credits in master’s degree)
We also accept students who have experience in professional practice.
Assessment Methods
You'll be assessed through written assignments, examinations and portfolio work. Assessment is driven by the needs of employers and practitioners, and is relevant to the priorities of business.
