Course Description

Our business psychology degree will help you gain an understanding of business and management. Develop your skills and knowledge of core areas of psychology, from cognitive psychology and neuroscience to developmental and social psychology.

You will acquire research skills, a broad scientific education in psychology, and a knowledge of the methods for investigating human behaviour. Our psychology courses were rated top in London for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2018.

Gain eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) in a British Psychological Society accredited degree

Course Content

Year 1

Students are required to study the following compulsory modules.

  • Business Planning and Development (30 credits)
  • International Business Functions (15 credits)
  • International Business Environment (15 credits)
  • Research Methods in Psychology 1 (30 credits)
  • Introduction to Psychology (30 credits)

Year 2

Students are required to study the following compulsory modules.

  • Business Ethics (15 credits)
  • Teams in Organisations (15 credits)
  • Research Methods in Psychology 2 (30 credits)
  • Cognitive Psychology & Neuroscience (15 credits)
  • Brain and Behaviour (15 credits)
  • Developmental Psychology (15 credits)
  • Social Psychology (15 credits)

Year 3

Students are required to study the following compulsory modules.

  • Career & Professional Practice (15 credits)
  • Psychology Project (30 credits)
  • Personality and Individual Differences (15 credits)
  • Psychopathology and Clinical Psychology (15 credits)
  • Organisational Psychology (30 credits)

Students are required to choose 15 credits from this list of options.

  • Leadership in Organisations (15 credits)
  • Negotiations (15 credits)

 

Entry Requirements

112 UCAS points from A-levels, of which no more than 12 points should come from AS-levels.

We also accept equivalent:

  • BTEC/National Diploma
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Advanced and Progression Diplomas
  • Access courses.

Plus at least three GCSEs including English language and mathematics or a science with a minimum of GCSE at grade 4 or above (grade C or above under the A*–G system).

Assessment Methods

On this course, students are assessed by:
