Course Description
This course gives exemption from the Architect's Registration Board (ARB) Part 2 examination, and is the second of three stages leading to the professional qualification of an architect. ? Profession-orientated, focused on creative holistic architectural design and sustainable urban regeneration. ? Leading practitioners teach alongside academic staff, which includes regular guest lectures from eminent international professionals. Provides students with a portfolio of fully completed architectural designs of advanced complexity. To register as an architect students require 24 months of post-Part 1 placement experience. De Montfort University encourages full-time students to complete nine to 12 months of this experience before joining the course, and part-time students to do so while studying the course. DMU provides a PEDR programme through which your professional experience can be certificated according to RIBA requirements. Students completing this course have the opportunity to proceed to PG Dip Architectural Practice, Part 3 and final qualification within the School of Architecture.
