Course Description

This programme has now replaced the former Approved Social Work programme. The programme can be accessed by four specific occupational groups. The Approved Mental Health Act Practioner programme is a professional mental health course. If it fits within the PQ framework and teh University's part time Masters programme. Modules of study include, Value and Perspectives for unerstanding mental distress, Theory and Interventions, Mental Health Law and policy, Professional Practice (40 day supervised practice)
