Course Description

The Prescribing Course for nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals is an interdisciplinary modulecourse delivered through blended learning. It is designed for all non-medical health professions permitted by law to prescribe. This qualification will enable you to apply to record the additional qualification (independent andor supplementary prescribing) with your primary professional body - either the Nursing and Midwifery Council or with the Health Professional Council (HPC) or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. The focus is on pharmacology, the knowledge base which underpins prescribing medicines, and prescribing in practice. The modulecourse will enable you to prescribe safely and effectively.
